You might be wondering why I am writing so much about affairs lately. I had some comments by the writer editing my manuscript saying that my ‘cheating’ chapter is not quite balanced – that I am more opinionated in that chapter. Hard not to be when you’ve been through it all.
Anyway doing some research to see if I can even things up. It’s not easy reading, and I can now really see what people mean when they describe the cheater as being in a fog.
There is one example of a guy who after promising his mistress to leave his wife, finally decides to stay with the wife – the mistress gets upset (surprisingly!) and then he calls her behavior ’selfish’. Enough to make you want to throw your computer against the wall.
Makes interesting reading in a frustrating way – I want to join in the discussion and give him a hard slap, but you know that’s why they call it ‘fog,’ he won’t really listen.
