What To Do With Your Extra Spare Time

by Sarah Horth on November 3, 2009

After a breakup it can feel like you have so much more time on your hands, which can be a positive thing if you are a reader.  I see Amazon has come out with its Best Books for 2009 list which might give you some inspiration to pick up a book. Their number one editor’s pick looks like a great read, I’ve put it on my list: Let the Great World Spin: A Novel

Publisher’s Weekly also has their Best Books for 2009 list out as well.  I am sure if you check them out you will find something you can get lost in!  To have a good book has always been my backup plan when I’ve been through breakups.  Sometimes I just get tired of thinking about breaking up and my sadness, so I always have an emergency book on hand.

For others of you, it might be having a good movie or TV show at the ready – see some ideas for a wallowfest of sad movies here.  And if if you want some more ideas check out what other women did to keep busy after breaking up here.
