Breakup Diary: I’m Not A Priority

by Sarah Creagh Horth on August 25, 2009

Read about the background to my Diary of a Breakup. T and I were still together when I wrote this, but things are quickly going downhill.  5 months until we breakup...

This is the day after T doesn’t come home after a night of clubbing - no phone call, no text, no nothing.
He goes away for 3 weeks the next day and promised that yesterday was ‘my’
day.

clubbing-breakup1/21 Bloody hell, so much for having a restful weekend after all the shit yesterday.  My brain is scrambled and I am so hungry.  T felt embarrassed by the whole not coming home situation, and I feel, well, sad.  I feel like something has been taken from me – he really hurt me.  I realized he doesn’t think time with me is any kind of priority.

He fell asleep at a friend’s house after going out clubbing.  It’s no excuse.  Didn’t call me til midday.  I was already out, as I couldn’t stand to be in the house alone.  He could have been anywhere – and turning his phone off is not a good sign.
